The Birthday Cake教学设计

一、教材分析

本节课选用《领先阅读-X计划》系列丛书第级中的一本The Birthday Cake. 本套书是分级阅读系列丛书,分级阅读以提升学生英语阅读能力为出发点,通过引人入胜的阅读内容激发学生的英语学习兴趣,促使学生养成自主阅读的习惯,本课时为绘本阅读教学,通过让学生观察、猜测、听读、体验等活动理解绘本故事。

二、学情分析

年级的孩子活泼可爱,英语学习兴趣较浓,上课积极性高,很喜欢模仿、表演和英语游戏,已经初步养成了较好的英语学习习惯。年级时已经接触过生日聚会这一英语主题,因此学生对本课会比较容易产生共鸣。同时,大多数学生已能熟练掌握方位介词in/on以及动词jump,因此句型活动学生能很比较容易上口,能进行简单的提问并回答本课还涉及到了过去式,三年级的学生目前还未接触过去式,本课生词较多,是一个难点。根据年级孩子的年龄特点和学习认知规律通过引导学生观察图片、实物展示、味觉体验和表演等方式帮助学生理解故事同时,多遍原音输入,帮助学生纠正发音在活动的

三、教学目标

1. 能够理解故事大意;

2. 能够理解并认读食物类词汇crispsrollsjelly ,量词a slice of,动词surprise以及名词table.

2.能够运用核心问题What is the surprise?以及子问题串What did they do?  Where to jump? Did tiger like the surprise? 引出并掌握重点句型They jumped on/in/over...并且引导学生思考,其实surprise 本身就是一个present.

3.能积极参与到课堂中,并积极使用英语进行交际,体会到学习英语的乐趣.

四、教学重、难点

1、They jumped in/on/over.....句型的理解及运用。

2、过去式的理解。

五、教学准备

    单词卡片、多媒体、PPT、头像蛋糕等实物。

六、教学过程

设计上,运用的较多的体验学习

Step 1:Greeting.

T: Hello,boys and girls. How are you?

S: Fine/happy.

【设计意图】师生问候,拉近距离,营造课堂氛围。

Step 2Lead-in

 T: Before our class, I have a song for you, let’s listen.(播放歌曲)

What the song is about?

S: It’s about birthday.

T: Yes, it’s a birthday song. What do you want for your birthday?

S: I want toys....

T: Do you want a birthday cake?(看首页)

S: Yes.

S: I like the birthday cake, because it is delicious.

T: Today, we will learn a new story, its also about the birthday cake.

Step 3:Presentation

1.T引生观察封面

T: look at the cover, whats the title?

S: The birthday cake.(板书标题)

T: Look here, who can you see?

S: I can see Max and Ant.

T: Where are they?

S: They are on the cake.

T: What are they doing on the cake?

S: They are fighting....

T: oh, why they fighting on the birthday cake?

S: I think maybe they are angry/eat the birthday cake...

T: That is so interesting. Now, lets see who is the writer....

 Now, lets see what the story is about.

【设计意图】学生通过观察封面,明确故事主题,教师提问Why they fighting on the cake?引起学生好奇心,激发学习欲望。

T: Look, there are so many people. Can you guess, whose birthday was it?

S: Maybe it was tigers birthday.

T: Why?

S: Because there are so many presents./ because he is very happy.

T: Really? Lets listen. (播放P2录音)

   Oh, yes. It was tiger’s birthday.(贴Tiger图片)

T: Look at Max and Ant, are they small?

S: No.

T: What did they want to do?

S: Maybe they wanted to eat the cake.

T: Yes,they wanted to surprise tiger.(板书surprise) And I want to surprise you, too. Look here, 321.(展示实物)

T: Look, there are so many delicious food for birthday party. Do you want to eat? Do you like the surprise?

T: But look, whats the matter with Max and Ant?

S: They become small.

T: How to become small? Listen (等学生思考一下,再listen)

【设计意图】聚焦主人公为何变小了,激发学生的好奇心,同时摆放实物,给学生感官刺激,在体验中理解surprise的意义,为后面学习做铺垫。

T: Lets listen. What did they push?

S: They pushed the buttons...

T: Yes. They pushed the buttons on the magic watch. So they....become small.(贴小人图) Do you want to become small? Lets have a try.(学生体验)

T: Look, they are so small.Where did they want to go?

S: They wanted to go to the birthday cake.

T: How to get there?(等学生思考)

S: They got up onto the table.

T: Yes, they got up on to the table(板书)

T: If you were Max and Ant, you got up onto the table, everything is so big. What do you

want to say?

S: oh my god....

T: Good, and Max said wow..

T: Look, are they near the cake?(看黑板板书)

S: No.

T: What did they do?

T: Who jumped in the crisps?(板书crisps)

同时根据学情设计不同层的问题和任务

T: And then, what did they do? Please take out your book, dont remove the paper clips, read from page9 to page 11 by yourself. And then draw the line map on this paper. Got it?

T: Who can show us? Where did they jump?(西沃投影)

S: They jumped on the jelly/over the cups/ landed in the cake.(学生看着自己的路线图展示)

T: Do you agree? Lets check.

【设计意图】教师搭建脚手架后,学生自读课文,合作完成思维导图。培养学生自主学习的能力。

【设计意图】在教师的引领下,以图片环游的形式看完故事剩余部分,照应封面,解答最开始提出的问题what did they do on the cake?

T: Now the story is over. Look, whats the title?

S: They birthday cake.

T: And in this story, Max and Ant wanted to surprise tiger. And tiger has a birthday surprise. Do you like the story?

【设计意图】引导学生观察底页,回顾主题,总结故事,帮助学生理解整个故事。

Step 4:Summary

2. Role play

  T: Work in four, choose four pictures to act out.(在实物台展示)

T: Now, please take out your book, read the story by yourself. And think did tiger like the

S: I got a surprise.

T: Good, and I want to say happy birthday to you. Today, all of you did a very good job. After class, we can share the cake and the food. Ok?

【设计意图】通过原音跟读和自读故事,疏通语言,理解故事内容。启发学生思考What is the  surprise? 最后,教师播放父母的生日祝福视频,给学生惊喜,让学生体验surprise.
